burning_phoneixIt's been a while since I've had a GET! Awards ceremony so let's do this now. Be aware that all this stuff is shit I've bought since I arrived in New Zealand about....7 or 8 months ago? So it's a pretty long list. It also includes Book and movies I bought during that time so if you don't like videogames you can still criticize my cinematic and literary tastes
VIDGAGAMEZ
Playstation 3 160GB version- I FINALLY COMPLETE THE TRIFECTA! WII,PS3 AND XBOX360! Though my bro is telling me the fucking Xbox360 back in Saudi is acting up so fuck you Microsoft
Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 (PS3) - The king is back! Both me and Chris adore this game.We wuv it (even though it still has some flaws)
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2 (PS3)- Got it for cheap used. Not a bad game for the price but really showing it's age considering so many modern war shooters are around.
Need for Speed: Shift (PS3)- Also found cheap used. Recommended by Chris so I bought it. Cool game but I still prefer Dirt 2.
Super Street Fighter 4 (PS3)- Because I loved Street Fighter 4. BTW, I'm one of the many fags who play Ken.
Infamous (PS3)- Also found cheap used. I needed a sandbox game to scratch the "I have 15 minutes of time to waste and I can't be bothered to load up a game with long missions" itch.
Valkyria Chronicles (duh PS3)- I haven't gone far but I like the game. Not as much as Alex Lucard (who I think masturbated over this game) but it's pretty cool. It would be cooler if it wasn't so weaboofied though :(
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (duh)- I actually found this used for like...6$ and since it's a "PS3 classic" I tried it out. And...I hate it. Maybe because cover based third person shooters have advanced so much in this generation and Uncharted was a launch title but....even the platforming sucks! How can NAUGHTY DOG of all people have poor platforming mechanics. HOOOOOWWWWW?!
Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X.2 (PS3)- I already wrote an indepth review of this title on Diehard gamefan so I'll keep this short: A step back from H.A.W.X 1
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots- MGS1 is one of my favorite videogames OF ALL TIME! But I hated MGS2 because of Raiden and MGS3 for the stupid mechanics. But what about MGS4?
All I can say is; Fuck you Hideo Kojima. Kindly fuck off and stop ruining other franchises like Castlevania.
Red Dead Redemption (PS3)- I love western movies. For years I wanted a game that made me feel like a real cowboy and Red Dead Revolver, Call of Jaurez and GUN simply didn't do it.
But rockstar made Red Dead Redemption and I LOVE this game. Like.....I want to use it as a masturbatory aid kind of love. IT'S THAT GOOD DON'T JUDGE ME!
Company of Heroes: Gold Edition (PC)- "BUT WAIT!" You exclaim."Fenix, don't you already have both Company of Heroes and it's expansion pack "opposing fronts? They're some of your favorite RTSes ever!" And the answer is yes.....kinda. I sorta...kinda..piratedthosegamesbutimsorryandmakingupforitnowbybuyingoriginalgames ;___________;
MUVEEES
District 9- I've always wanted to see this movie and it didn't disappoint. Hard to believe the Sharlto Copley never acted ina movie before!
Das Boot- The Director's Cut- This is one of my all time favorites AND IF FINALLY HAVE IT ON DVD! YEEEESSSSS! FOR THE FUHRER!
Die Hard with a Vengeance: Definitive Editon- Dear Die Hard. You rock. Especially when that guy was on the roof. P.S: Do you know Mad Max?
Zulu- I haven't actually watched this yet but it's a classic so it should be good.

Badass: A Relentless Onslaught of the Toughest Warlords, Vikings, Samurai,Pirates,Gunfighters and Military Commanders to Ever Live- Yes that's the full title. It's the book from Ben Thompson, author of the website badassoftheweek.com. If you like the website then you'll love the book and it's filled with great comic book style art and lots of swearing. I highly recommend it.
Warhammer Heroes: Sword of Justice- Yes this is a warhammer book. It's a nice little fantasy novel but only for Warhammer nerds. Especially Warhammernerds who play Empire.
Weapons of World War II- I have several of these books already and....well I have one more now I guess.
War in the Pacific- A better book on the War between Japan and the United States I have never seen. Beautiful illustrations,maps and photographs means this isn't just a a wall o' text like so many other history books. And the coup de grace? It comes with a seperate folder full of a scanned documents....documents like President Roosevelt's "Day in Infamy" speech notes. Admiral Chester Nimitz's official battle report from the Battle of Midway and so much more. It's just completely awesome in every way.SUPER HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
